Profiles in Bluebeam Revu

One of the many ways you can customise Bluebeam Revu is by choosing your preferred Profile. A Profile is the configuration of Revu’s interface, including the individual toolbars and panels that display. Revu is preloaded with several Profiles, which you can choose when you install Revu for the first time.

The Simple Profile’s minimalistic interface, for example, offers basic users and Office users an easy way to explore Revu’s basic features. Select the Profile that fits your industry workflows best. You have the option to change the Profile at any time.

Tip: In case you are looking to access the pop-up menu above again once Revu is installed, simply close the application, go to the Bluebeam Administrator’s “Revu” tab and select “Reset Settings”. The next time you run Revu, the pop-up menu will be displayed.

In Revu, you can easily toggle between the different Profiles by clicking the arrow next to the Profile icon located at the bottom right-hand corner. Or, go to View > Profiles and then pick the desired Profile from the dropdown menu.

You can even create your own customised Profile and save it for easy reuse. Simply drag and drop to move your toolbars and panels, or go to View > Toolbars to turn additional annotation and editing options on and other options on or off before saving your Profile. Other features that are tied to the selected Profile in Revu are any added custom tool sets to the Revu Tool Chest, custom columns and statuses in the Markups list and scripts.

You can even export your custom Profile to share with other Bluebeam users in your firm or on your project.
